Evening & Saturday Appointments Information
Our practice is working together with other local GP surgeries to offer pre-bookable and on-the-day appointments at times to suit your needs. Appointments are now available until 8pm on weekdays, and between 9am and 5pm on Saturdays.
You can see a GP, advanced nurse practitioner, clinical pharmacist, physiotherapist, or other health professionals. Some appointments may be provided at a nearby GP surgery or hub rather than your local practice.
Please ask our reception team for appointment booking.
Appointments
You can choose which doctor you wish to see, however in the event of holidays and sickness doctor availability is somewhat limited. If a doctor has started treating you it is best to remain with that doctor for a continuing problem.
We run a computerised appointment system. We offer advance and follow up appointments which can be booked up to 2 months in advance (subject to availability).
Please make it clear if your problem requires urgent attention.
Routine appointments will be offered at the first available time with the doctor of your choice. We cannot always offer you an urgent appointment (i.e. on the same day) with your own doctor.

Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. If you do not attend an appointment more than once without cancelling you will be given a written warning, which may result in removal from our patient registration list.
Community Pharmacy
We are participating in a new approach to improve access for patients to GP appointments. The aim is to direct patients to the most appropriate healthcare professional, which may be a GP or a pharmacist. From 5th July 2021 if your symptoms could be resolved by a booked consultation with the pharmacist instead of the GP, you will be given a same-day referral to a pharmacy of your choice.
We think this is a good thing. Once you see how great your local pharmacist is – they are highly trained and skilled clinicians experienced in treating minor illnesses – we don’t think you’ll look back. This will also help us to free up GP appointments for people with more complex health needs and ensure that everyone gets treated at the right time, by the right healthcare professional.
