Westbourne Surgery has 5 Receptionists.
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

The district nurse team attached to Westbourne Surgery delivers care to patients registered within the practice. This care is mainly delivered to patients in their own home but there may be occasions when patients may be asked to attend the surgery.
District nurses care for patients of all ages to improve or maintain their health and to provide highly skilled nursing care to those who are ill or recovering from illness.
District Nurse Services:
Referrals are mainly made from GPs and local hospitals but referrals are welcome from patients, carers and families.
Children can be taken on Fridays between 10.00 and 12.00 to be weighed and given advice by the Health Visitors at the One Stop Shop, Paddock Scout Hut, West View Rise, (off Church Street), Paddock, and Huddersfield.
