All specimens which are required to go to pathology laboratory need to be handed in at reception by 12.30 on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Please note we have no collection by the pathology laboratory on Wednesdays.

Health Checks

Our practice Nurses/Healthcare Assistant are happy to discuss many aspects of prevention of illness including advice on diet and exercise; our Practice Nurse is also happy to discuss holiday vaccinations.

Child Health Surveillance

You may make an appointment with Dr Iqbal at any clinic. The Health Visitor will also see under 5s at the One Stop Shop, Paddock Scout Hut, West View Rise, (Off Church Street) Paddock, Huddersfield on Fridays 10.00am – 12.00 noon.

Maternity Services

The midwife, Sister Rachael Leanords runs an Ante Natal Clinic each Wednesday operating shared care between the Practice and hospital based services.


Please make your first/initial appointment with Sister Deborah Colledge and for repeat/subsequent contraception prescriptions make an appointment with any Practice Nurse or Health Care Assistant. Emergency Contraception - please contact the surgery as soon as possible. This can be often dealt with without the need for an appointment, However you will need to speak to a GP or contraception nurse.

Patients aged between 16 and 75 years

Patients between the ages of 16 and 75 years who have not been seen by the doctor in the last 3 years are welcome to make an appointment for a well patient check. 

Patients aged over 75 years

Patients aged over 75 years who have not seen the doctor in the last year are also welcome to make an appointment for a well patient check.

Annual Seasonal Flu Clinics

Each year the surgery will hold several seasonal flu clinics for patients over the age of 65 and others who are considered to be at risk should they contact the flu virus. The clinics usually start in late September or early October and patients who come into any of the eligible categories to receive the flu vaccine should enquire at reception about making an appointment.
